Know What You Are Forwarding

Do you read what you write before you forward it? Do you read and understand what others post? Or do you automatically think since it states good things about Islam so you pass it to friends and families. Just because it has good things about Islam doesn't mean it is accurate. I have seen this status on Facebook going around for awhile:

"Allah has seen you struggling with something. Allah says it's over. A blessing is coming your way. If you believe in Allah send this on. For it says in the Quran deny me in front of everyone, I will deny you in front of Allah! 97% won't pass this. A blessing is coming to you in the form of a new job, a house, marriage or financially. If you love Allah and you are glad he woke you up today say Alhamdullah and send this to 10 people."

Do you know what is wrong with it? Read it again. It states "deny me in front of everyone, I will deny you in front of Allah!" who is "me" and "I"? "me" and "I" are referring to Allah so if you replace "me" and "I" with Allah it would state as "it says in the Quran deny Allah in front of everyone, Allah will deny you in front of Allah!" Does that even make sense? NO.

Another thing that is wrong with it is the "97%" because the writer and the one who is sharing it claims they have enough knowlegde to predict how many people won't pass it on, the unseen.

Allah is testing us in this life so from birth until death we will struggle. You can struggle with taking care for your children, wife, husband, parents, friends, doing your homework, paying your bills, getting up in the morning, struggling with adopting new good habits. etc etc etc.....the list can go on so please do not fall for these statuses or posts or emails. If you do not completely understand it don't pass the status on just ask someone else what it means.

"And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned." [Quran 17:36]
